Membership Drive & 501(c)(3) Announcement

Updated: Sep 30, 2018

2016 MEMBERSHIP DRIVE KICKOFF!

Hello Friends, today we are kicking off our 2016 membership drive. You may have noticed the problems on the lake if you have visited in the last few years. The current lake problems include; water quality, weeds, and a lack of depth. We feel that the only way to improve our situation is through a unified voice. Your membership - only $15 annually - not only helps our organization operate but also shows our politicians that there are many of us who care about the lake and fixing the issues of our natural resource.

TLA GRANTED 501(C)(3) NON-PROFIT STATUS!

TLA was officially granted 501(c)(3) status as announced at the June 8, 2015 TLA meeting. With this non-profit designation, we are now able to accept larger donations from individuals and organizations and the donor can claim the donation as a write-off on their taxes. Also, the TLA is now eligible to apply for grants for improvement projects. This is really a big news!

The TLA Board and members would like to thank TLA member Angie Cowan who volunteered her time and experience to lead the Board through the application process.  The 501(c)(3) designation is a real game changer for the TLA and the benefits of Angie's work will be felt for years to come.  THANK YOU ANGIE!
