2023 New Tenmile Lake Property Owners

November 2023

Hello Tenmile Lakes Interested Party

There are many new homeowners on the lake, and we need you to join us in our mission to keep Tenmile Lakes the most beautiful place to live and recreate.

TLA needs homeowners' participation!

Join Tenmile Lakes Association (TLA), a non-profit organization with a mission to improve, Preserve, Protect, and Promote Tenmile Lakes and its Waters and Watershed.

We meet on the first Wednesday of each month at the Lakeshore Lodge at 5:30 p.m. Our active membership is a small group that works together to complete projects that we are proud of to help clean up the lake and improve lake quality and water level.  However, we need more participation to continue our mission.

Recent activities TLA has accomplished are:

  • A large wood project on Tenmile Creek to improve salmon migration and help prevent extremely low water

  • Annual Lake cleanup around Earth Day in April

  • Annual Large item pickup for boat access places where we bring a barge and pick up trash and large items to take to the dump in August (fundraiser)

  • Annual History dinner (fundraiser)

  • Annual participation at the Tenmile Lakes Basin Partnership’s State of the Lakes BBQ in August at Lakeside Lions Club (community event)

  • Lifejacket loaner station at County Ramps

  • Install signs about boater responsibility and work with the marine sheriff to replace ‘slow no wake’ signs in the canal.

Future projects include:

  • Work to limit invasive weeds in the lake

  • Maintain the large wood project on Tenmile Creek

Where can you find important lake information?

Visit the Tenmile Lakes Association website https://www.tenmilelakes.com/. If you can’t attend the meetings, you can get important lake info, read meeting minutes, see pictures of our projects, and donate money to our mission.  Our mailing address is PO Box 600, Lakeside Oregon.

Visit the Tenmile Lakes Basin Partnership (TLBP) website https://www.tenmilewatershed.com/ for lake summary reports, lake gauge hourly reports, and Lakefront Dos and Don’ts.

It is the responsibility of all lakefront owners to be good stewards of the lake. We are here to answer your questions. Hope to see you at an event or meeting!
