City Passes Resolution to sign and support Restoration 404 Permit Application

Happy Sunday Friends,

With all the challenges we are all facing, I am happy to report that on Friday the city counsel unanimously approved the resolution to support the Tenmile Creek Restoration. This is a huge milestone!

The support enables us to formally submit the permit request into the formal 120 day approval process. While with the uncertainty surrounding us with the COVID-19 outbreak, we are unsure if the pandemic will impact this timeline. As far as we are concerned our piece of the process is complete and we eagerly anticipate the projects approval in the appropriate time.

Funding for this project is still a major focus for us here locally. We are working with several local businesses in the construction and timber industry on getting the best bids for completion of the project. I hope to have a clear budget for the project in the coming weeks. We will likely need to raise another $20-30k to complete the project (this is my gut estimate) in addition to what we have already raised. I will share more as the picture becomes clear.

I'd Like to thank all those in the community that have contributed money to the project thus far. I would like to specifically thank, the Mike Mader and the Tenmile Lakes Basin Partnership, Alan Whitney TLA President, Don Porour, Mayor James Edwards and the entire City council and staff. It could not happen without their unwavering support.
